Description

In this tutorial we're gonna some powerful right hand tricks and techniques that will ultimately enable you to do really fast triplets very effortlessly. It's definitely not easy at first, but it's certainly not as hard as it sounds, and once you get the mechanics under your belt, you'll be able to do much more than just examples in the practice tune we're exploring today.

I'll be using my Gretsch Duo Jet for this practice tune, on the bridge pickup, and I'll be running it through a small Fender amp with a bright tone and a little bit of reverb. In front of that I'm using this overdrive pedal called "Mudhoney". One thing that can sometimes help with this style of playing is to use a hairband around the neck up here close to the first fret. This is to minimize the open strings ringing and free up some of the mental energy would otherwise be dedicated to muting. But you can totally do it without that as well. Let's get started!
