Description
A great way to train your ear is to learn alternate tunings. It forces you to learn chords and scales all over again. You will HAVE to use your ear and knoledge of the notes to re-learn them. This will make it easier for you to pick them out in songs. There are tons of alternate tunings and I\'m going to list all of them. My faovrites are (low to high) Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, B, Eb (Flat Tuning), D, A, D, G, B, E (Drop D), G, B, D, G, B, G (Open G), D, A, D, F#, A, D (Open D) and C, G, C, F, A, D (\"Bad Horsie\" tuning). Open G is used constantly by the Rolling Stones, Drop D is used by Creed and King\'s X, Flat Tuning is used by Jimi Hendrix, Open D is used by King\'s X on occasion, and \"Bad Horsie\" Tuning was used in the Steve Vai song \"Bad Horsie\".
