Description

The Edge uses his delay sounds to create these repeated figures known as Ostinatos. The important thing to learn from this lesson is that you can take one repeated arpeggio or riff and play it over and over while the chords change underneath you. Notice that the same notes work over two chords in this example. We're setting up another one of those beautiful dissonances again. But it works, because we're resolving them back to where they want to go in the end. This concept is heavily used in jazz music, but taken to an extreme.
