Description
The pick is a matter of personal preference. However, personal preference should not go without consideration to tone. The pick a person uses can greatly effect the tone of a guitar. Most players use the same kind of pick (size and guage) when playing and practicing. The great session players, however, use a variety of picks when recording the tone of the guitar.
In this lesson we'll briefly give a demo of five different pick guages. Notice how the thinner picks will sound more trebly while the thicker picks give a darker sound and more volume. Experiment with different picks to get the sound you are looking for.
