I’m using a Stratocaster guitar, but any guitar is suitable. Choose the bridge pickup for a bright, clear tone.

As far as amps go, any Fender style tube amp is a desirable choice. Set the amp for a crunch sound. Set the Drive to 70%, Bass to 50%, Mid to 55%, Treble to 55%, and Presence to 60%.

Both guitars use plenty of chorus and reverb to give that lush 80s sound. For Guitar 2, kick in a boost or overdrive for the solo, as well as some echo.

I’m using 10-46 string gage with a heavy pick.

Here are the settings I used:

Fender Deluxe Model:
Drive: 70% Bass: 50% Mid: 55% Treb: 55% Presence: 60%
Chorus:
Rate: 30% Depth: 45% WetDryMIX: 25%
Tube Screamer (Gtr 2):
Drive: 75% Tone: 55% Level: 60%
Tape Echo (Gtr 2):
Time: 380ms Feedback: 40% WetDryMIX: 30%
Reverb: WetDryMIX: 40%
