Now let's play through the practice tune with our backing track. If you're still spending a lot of your focus remembering and executing the parts, I can't encourage you enough to just watch and listen a couple of times before you start playing along yourself.

Now if you played through the PT with me and didn't have the extra energy to pay attention to the function of the chords within the different progressions, it's not too late to go back and just listen to me play it while you put your focus on the harmony and your new understanding of why these chords work the way they do. Once you internalize this, it'll be much faster learning songs, because you recognize the sound of a IV-minor chord for example. It'll also be quicker transposing songs to different keys because you understand the relationship between them... and finally these are all incredibly powerful tools to master when it comes to writing songs- whether that's full songs with lyrics and everything or just progressions and instrumental pieces. We're learning how to manipulate people's emotions here, and starting to understand how music is created and how it works.
