I’m using a Telecaster for Guitar 1, but any guitar will be suitable. Select the bridge pickup for a clear and bright tone. Be sure to place a capo at the 2nd fret.

For Guitar 2, I’m using a Les Paul, but any electric guitar with a humbucker pickup in the bridge position will do the trick. The humbucker provides plenty of clarity and power for digging into these bluesy licks.

As far as amps go, any Fender style tube amp is a desirable choice. Set the amp for a clean sound. Set the Drive to 25%, Bass to 45%, Mid to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 60%. For Guitar 2, increase the drive to around half for more gain and sustain.

Guitar 1 uses slap back echo for an old school rock sound. Add a touch of reverb to both guitars for depth.

I’m using 10-46 gage and a heavy pick to dig right in.

Here are the settings I used:

Fender Deluxe Model:
Drive: 25% Bass: 45% Mid: 55% Treb: 60% Presence: 60%
(Guitar 2 - set Drive to 50%)
SlapbackEcho(Guitar1):
DelayTime: 185ms Feedback: 0% Wet/DryMIX: 45%
Springs Reverb: WetDryMIX: 20%

TUNING : (low to high) D G D G B D (open G)
CAPO 2nd fret (open A effectively)
GUITAR 2 - Standard Tuning, No Capo
