I'm using a Les Paul to play this tune, but any electric guitar is suitable. The tones have more to do with the amp and effect settings. Select the bridge pickup for a clear, powerful sound.

As far as amps go, any Fender style tube amp is a desirable choice. Set up the amp for a clean sound just on the edge of breakup. Set the Drive to 45%, Bass to 45%, Mid to 55%, Treble to 60%, and Presence to 65%. For Guitar 2, kick in an overdrive pedal for more gain and sustain.

Add some reverb to all guitars for depth. I'm using 10-46 gage with a heavy pick to dig into these rhythms and leads. Here are the settings I used:

Fender Deluxe Model:
Drive: 45% Bass: 45% Mid: 55% Treb: 60% Presence: 65%
Overdrive Pedal (Guitar 2):
Gain: 50% Level: 50%
Rotary Speaker Effect (Guitar 2):
Speed: Slow Width: 60%
Spring Reverb:
WetDryMIX: 35%
