In our song, we have two verses that both play the same chord progression and guitar parts. Guitar #1 plays a mixture of rhythmic chords and licks which really stand out in the song and sound awesome.

The chord progression for the verses are the same both times in the song, with Guitar #1 playing all licks.

|| D - D - D - D - D - D - G A - D ||

For the first six bars, we have a two bar phrase that's played three times. We will play a hybrid of our funk rhythm on D that we did in our intro, followed by that signature pentatonic lick you hear on the record playing B and D.

After six bars of D and our main groove, you will then switch it up by playing G and A on the D and G strings on beat 2. Each of these triads will start out with a quick hammer on to the chord tone from a half step below.

We will then end our verse with our main D groove ending with our pentatonic lick going into the chorus.
