Our first two A sections happen back to back in our song, with the second time through having a different turn around to get into our B section. This creates a nice variety in the song which will continue to evolve as the song progresses.

The chords for our second A section are:

|| C - E7 - Ami C7/G - F F#dim. - C/G A - Dmi7 G7 - C F - C E7 ||

While in this version Willie Nelson does play each A section slightly different, we are going to keep each of these the same to keep it simple and so you can play through the whole song much easier. The extensions and licks that he plays are signature to his version, but you can very much play the song sticking to the same progression. It's the last two bars of this A section where things change.

Instead of going right for our augmented chords again, we will be doing a turn around progression to get into our B section. For the first bar you will play C to F, followed by a bar of C to E7.

This part does a great job of setting us up for the B section to follow with a nice change in the chord progression.
