In the first Harmony Guitar tutorial we discussed the characteristic elements of melody. Please refer to that tutorial in order to get a full discussion of the topic.
Harmony Guitar Series 1 Part 1
As a brief refresher, there should be a unity of the overall group of notes. Each note should flow naturally to the next resulting in an overall unity. There should be a variety of motion, up and down. There should be a clear beginning, middle and ending. The melody should have a "story arc". It's not necessary, but best to have one high or low point that the entire melody works toward and away from.
More ReviewsI find it quite easy (so far!) to navigate, and found the "where do I start" to be very helpful! I'm getting there!!
I LOVE the forum, too. I've never been one to use forums, but the GT forum is full of great people and helpful information at ALL levels! Congrats on a WONDERFUL site!!
Good job!
