I'm playing a Les Paul style guitar for this song, but any guitar with a humbucker in the bridge position is perfect. The humbucker provides plenty of clarity and power for chunky palm muting and searing lead work.

As far as amps go, any cranked up Marshall style tube amp is the perfect choice. Dial the amp in for a medium crunch sound. Set the bass to 45%, mids to 55%, treble to 60%, and presence to 65%. For Guitar 2, kick in an overdrive pedal for more sustain while soloing.

I use a 10-46 string gage, with a heavy pick so I can dig right into riffs and licks with some great attack! Add some reverb for depth. Here are the settings I used:

Marshall Plexi Model:
Drive: 75% Bass: 45% Mid: 55% Treb: 60% Presence: 65%
Tube Screamer (Guitar 2):
Drive: 70% Tone: 50%
Spring Reverb:
WetDryMIX: 45%
