First things first let's learn the intro to our song. This gets us started with a high energy vamp on our A chord, playing four bars with a strong rhythm section and background vocals. We then break on 1 of the last bar, and get going into our first verse.

Our intro is four bars long, and plays on our I chord the entire time which is A. We play a A on the downbeat of each measure, followed by a slide from C to C#.

After the slide from the minor to the major third, you then play an E and A and D and G strings on beat 4. This then ends the phrase.

For the intro, you will play through this lick three times. For the last bar, you will play A5 right on the downbeat and then break to make way for the vocals that start off the first verse. Make sure to pay attention to palm muting as that is key to this song's dynamics.
