In this tutorial we are going to learn how to play "Funny How Time Slips Away" as performed by Willie Nelson. This classic song features a simple chord progression. using two guitars, that has stood the test of time as a songwriting staple.

Using a nylon string guitar and an acoustic guitar, both will be playing throughout the entire track. Guitar #1 will be playing a mixture of blues and country style walking lines in Dropped D tuning, while Guitar #2 will hold down the back beat playing on 2 and 4 the entire time. Together, both of these guitars guide the song along really well.

Once we have worked our way through the entire song and you know all the parts, then I am going to provide you with an additional way to play the song as a single guitar performance. I will combine both parts in a way to where you can play through the whole song using everything we have learned, with whatever guitar you have at home.

"Funny How Time Slips Away" is in the Key of D, at 70 BPM, and in 4/4 time with a swung, triplet feel.
