A Les Paul style guitar is the preferred choice for this song, but any guitar with a humbucker pickup in the bridge position will do fine. The bridge humbucker provides plenty of clarity and power for thick riffs and searing leads.

As far as amps go, any cranked up Marshall-style tube amp is the perfect choice. Guitar 1 requires a thick crunch sound, so crank up that preamp gain control to get those power chords sounding big and bold. Guitar 2 is a bit of a cleaner sound, so roll back your volume knob, or bring the preamp gain down a bit.

Guitars 3 and 4 are a distorted lead sound, so kick in an overdrive or distortion pedal for more sustain. Add some reverb to all guitars for depth. Here are the settings I used:

Marshall Plexi Model:
Drive: 100% Bass: 50% Mid: 55% Treb: 55% Presence: 55%
(Guitar 2 : Drive: 65%)

Spring Reverb:
WetDryMIX: 40%
