NOTE: In the previous video, I stated there is no intro to this song. That was incorrect. There is an Intro that consists of 4 measures of G.

You'll find the chart and the lyrics, below.

Do your best to keep up with the rhythm, and remember, even if you make mistakes, you are getting excellent practice!

The songs in this section are not easy!

But you have the knowledge, basic skills, and the understanding to take them on at your own pace. Keep in mind that whatever struggles you are having, you are definitely not alone!

Everyone has a hard time learning to bring all the details together just right to play a song all the way through.

The best thing to do if you fall behind or make a mistake is to stop playing for a moment, and try to get your bearings. See if you can jump in with me the next time a new verse or chorus starts.

As tempting as it can be to want to go back and 'fix' your mistakes, it guarantees that you will be lagging behind as the song marches on without you!

Rather, make a mental note of your mistakes, and drill yourself on the skills you need to improve to have better luck keeping up with the song.

Eventually, it will all come together, and you'll be surprised to remember it ever felt this difficult!

You'll find the lyrics, and a chart, below.

SKEETER LOVES ANNIE (Lyrics)

VERSE:
Skeeter, he's an odd one
I don't get his ways
Last I saw he was down by the water
Now he ain't been around for days

Skeeter is a singer
Sings to himself and self alone
When he thinks no one can hear him
He croons his one and only song
And it goes...

CHORUS:
Annie, you're my keeper
Annie, you're my find
Any way you rock me
It's the only thing that saves my mind
Oh Annie, I can't wait
to take you out another time

VERSE:
Skeeter loves his Annie
More than any living girl
Marvels at her beauty
Every time her sails unfurl

They go out dancing,
Through the harbor to the sound,
Two step and a Tango
Cross a dance floor with no ground
Hes singing…

CHORUS:
Annie, you're my keeper
Annie, you're my find
Any way you rock me
It's the only thing that saves my mind
Oh Annie, I can't wait
to take you out another time

VERSE:
Skeeter doesn't say much
Though he told me this himself
He made a replica of Annie
Put it right up on his shelf

End of conversation
And he's off to sing his song
Nothing's gonna change him
Guess we'll just have to sing along

CHORUS:
Annie, you're my keeper
Annie, you're my find
Any way you rock me
It's the only thing that saves my mind
Oh Annie, I can't wait
to take you out another time
