I’ll be playing my vintage 00 Martin guitar today, but pretty much any guitar would work with this song.

We'll be using a capo today on the second fret and playing out of the key of D. This translates to the key of E harmonically. In addition to being the key the singer preferred vocally, the chord change from D to G/B defines this song and would not play the same in another key. Capo placement combined with correct tension are important to good intonation and tone.
