One thing to keep in mind, if you're having a difficult time with bends and vibratos, is to not bend with your fingers.
I see a lot of guitar players making it really difficult for themselves by doing bends with their fingers. This is a bad habit and you have little to no control over the note - it becomes fragile and inconsistent.

The fingers should focus on holding the note, as clear and clean as possible, and the bend or vibrato should come from your wrist; the movement should be sort of a rotating motion in your wrist. You're much stronger in your wrist than in your fingers. It doesn't matter what finger you fret the note with, the vibrato should always come from the wrist.
