The string melody during the intro of the song is very powerful. They set up the song well for the vocal. A great way to keep this melody when playing with a band is to play it on the guitar as a blues lick.

When taking a melody line from another instrument to play on the guitar, it's important to use techniques that are staples of the guitar, such as bends, pull-offs, hammer-ons, rakes, etc. This way you have the feel of the guitar and not just the notes.

The intro and out show are played the same, except for an additional two bars better played "freely" at the end of the outro.
