A Stratocaster style guitar is a great choice for this tune, but any guitar with a single coil pickup in the bridge position will be suitable. The single coil provides a bright, sparkling tone perfect for 80s pop.

This is a classic 80s pop guitar tone. It's bright, fairly clean, compressed, and effected with light chorus and plenty of reverb. Set your amp for a clean sound with just a touch of grit.

Guitar 2 uses a capo placed at the first fret. Kicking in an overdrive/distortion for guitar 3 will add the sustain needed to play the melodic lead part. Here are the settings I used:

Fender Deluxe Model: Drive: 40% Bass: 45% Mid: 45% Treb: 70% Presence: 75%

Compressor: Sustain: 50% Level: 65%

Chorus: Rate: 20% Depth: 60% Wet/DryMIX: 40%

Plate Reverb: WetDryMIX: 50%
