In this lesson we'll build some chord-scale lines to play over our stereotypical jazz chord progression. Learning to "play the changes", meaning the chord changes or chord progression, is the most crucial aspect of playing lead guitar in jazz style. We'll start with the C major scale since we are in the key of C major. But, as you will see, we'll alter the scale as necessary to match the chords as they slightly deviate by modulation from C major.
