Guitar 1 continues riffing with power chords in the chorus. The first strum on the E power chord occurs right on the first beat of the bar, but notice how all remaining chord strums occur on the and-of-4. This is called an anticipation, or push. Note how the major key "happier" sound of the chorus contrasts from the darker sound of the verse.

Be sure to check out the slight variations from chorus to chorus. The first chorus plays the riff and heads straight back into the verse riff, while the second chorus is a double chorus, separated by a 4 bar drum fill. Hang on the E power chord for those 4 bars. The final chorus is also a double chorus, but both are followed by a 2 bar drum fill. Then the chorus loops during the fadeout.
