A Les Paul style guitar is the authentic choice for this song, but any guitar with a humbucker pickup in the bridge position can approximate the thick, beefy tone.

As far as amps go, any cranked up Marshall-style tube amp will do the trick. Set for a thick crunch sound and add a touch of reverb to give some depth. For guitars 2 and 3, you'll want to kick in a boost or overdrive/distortion pedal to get more sustain for the leads. Guitar 2 also uses a wah-wah pedal in the outro. Check out the settings I used:

Marshall Plexi Model: Drive: 100% Bass: 50% Mid: 55% High: 70% Presence: 70%

Spring Reverb: Wet/DryMIX: 35%
