Single note technique is important for playing solos, but for most of the riff and rhythm playing you need a confident and precise strumming technique. In this lesson I'll show you what this means as well as a simple exercise you can use to work on it.

In this tutorial we've gone through some really useful exercises that you can use to develop a solid rhythmic feel without having to rely on anyone else. Some people improve their rhythmic feel without fully being aware of it - it's just a part of making it all sound better. But if you're aware of this concept and familiar with the most common issues and how to fix them, you can work much more efficiently on your guitar playing, and thereby become better much quicker. So have fun with it, and I'll see you in the next chapter!
