Guitar 2 comps on the chord progression in the solo sections. There's more hybrid picking here, and the combination of picking and plucking are hallmarks of the Billy Gibbons style. Hammering-on to the triad shapes of the chords is another typical Gibbons-ism.

The section starts on a Cm7 chord (IVm chord of G minor) and eventually ends up on the V chord (Dm7, D7), first as a minor, then 7 chord, which really adds some tension that resolves when we move back to Gm. Dig in and try to lock in tight with the rhythm section.
