1. The 6 bar chord progression for all three pre-choruses is: || F#mi | B | Bsus4 B | Bsus2 | D | E ||

2. F# minor along with all the B chords are played as arpeggios, with emphasis on a rotating melody. The first B is slightly anticipated.

3. The D chord has a hammer-on from A to B on the G string, also playing the high A on the E string. The D triad on the D, G, and B strings slides up a whole step to E major, creating a slight anticipation followed by the low E string.
