Just like we structure our right hand pattern in beats of 4, a common form for many songs is the four bar phrase, i.e. chords often occur in patterns of 4 at a time. "Wide Open Spaces" is a perfect example of this type of form.

By memorizing the chorus chords you already know half of the song. The verse is not that hard, especially if you think in bars of four. We'll take a look at the structure for the verse and give it a slow play through, and then the chorus, followed by a slow play through.
