Introduction: Open Chords, New Sounds

Next Lesson

A great way to start out with a new style of music is to use what you already know to create a whole new sound. In this tutorial we're going to use the basic open chords you learned in Guitar Fundamentals to play some rock.

First we'll talk about the gear we'll be using, and the settings we will need to dial up a rockin' tone.

Then we'll adapt the basic open chords to work with this tone. Finally, we'll play through some fun examples exploring all these new sounds.
