Guitar 2 plays some sparse augmentation in the verse sections. A quick referencing of the intro riff, then a nice lower register single note line that outlines the C and D chords. Note that in the 2nd verse, the quick nod to the intro riff gets omitted. For the second half of the verse, just play single strums of each chord to provide some nice support and build the arrangement.

Leading into the chorus, there's a variation of the intro riff (same notes, different combination), then an ensemble line played with the fiddle and pedal steel.
