The acoustic part requires a specific strumming pattern and feel. In this video, I explain what "cut time" is, and how you should feel the backbeat rhythm while you play this tune.

It's important to alternate between strumming the low root of the chord as the first strike, and then strumming the whole chord up top on the backbeats. This is the key to that old country sound and feel.

We have very simple chords here in open position: E, A, and B7. Also note that the intro and outro are the last 2 bars of the main progression repeated.
