In this tutorial you'll learn how to play the classic song "La Grange," as made famous by ZZ Top. This is one of their biggest hits and it's very much a part of the standard blues repertoire that you're expected to know as a blues guitar player.

The song is essentially a I chord blues with a modulation for the first guitar solo. But that doesn't mean it's simple. This song is packed with interesting arrangements, tricks, modulations, advanced guitar techniques like pinch harmonics and hybrid picking, and much more.

In this tutorial I'll break down every note starting with the great guitar riff that opens the song, then to the more aggressive version of the same thing, followed by the modulation with the rippin' guitar solo, and finally the second and longer guitar solo that goes on until the track fades.

I'll talk about how to imitate the tone, attitude, and much more. The song is in 4/4 with swinging eighth notes. The quarter note equals 162 bpm, so let's dive right into it!
