There's a clean guitar in the intro that plays the main riff. Steve Stevens was going for a "spaghetti-western" sound with this riff, and the end result definitely gives an "outlaw" feel to the tune.

The riff is arpeggiating a B minor chord, then changing to open E and D chords. Note the next time through the riff, we reverse the E and D chords, using higher inversion triads to build things nicely.

Also note the single D chord strum from this guitar at the end of each chorus, adding a dreamy feel to the track.
