STATION 2: Let's Warm Up the Fingers

In this set of lessons we're going to get our fingers warmed up.

You wouldn't jump into any sports activity without warming up your muscles first,

the same applies to playing guitar.

In this first lesson I'll explain the exercise and demonstrate how to do it at a basic level.

We'll also talk about all the skills and abilities that you are learning and reinforcing

by doing this exercise every time you play the guitar.

These benefits include:

    * Finger stretch and flexibility

    * Hand and finger strength

    * Ideal hand and finger positioning

    * Good tone

    * Coordination between the left and right hands

The following 3 lessons present the exercise in playlaong form at three different levels of difficulty.

Find the level of difficulty that is appropriate for you and do the exercise along with me.

Skip the lessons among the next three that are too easy or too hard for you.

Choose the one that is the best fit
and do the exercise along with me at least once, but preferably two, three or more times through.

Then move ahead to Segment 3.

Ready? Let's warm up the fingers!
