The verse lead is very consistent through out the whole song, first using the lightly distorted channel and then switch permanently to the heavier distorted channel once the band enters. This employs palm muting.

In the second half of the second verse this part opens up, simply by no longer palm muting.

When the bridge begins the lead guitar plays a C power chord an octave higher than the rhythm guitar. This part repeats 4 times, ending with a slide down each time.

Also in the bridge, there is an easy lead which plays the notes F-E-D, with the lick ending by alternating between the D octaves.

The leads throughout the second half of the tune are interesting because they are essentially all the same as the verse lead (with minor variations added), only now play over the end of the verse and the final chorus.
