In this lesson, we'll learn the acoustic strumming version of 'I Got a Name'.

It consists mostly of a strong driving 4/4 strum with a 'four feel', with all of the emphasized beats being played with a downstroke of the pick.

But at the juncture between the end of the chorus and the beginning of the next verse, we switch to a 'three feel' for a few beats.

In this section, you continue to maintain the solid up-and-down motion with the pick. But now, you place the rhythmic emphasis on the notes in groups of three, not four. This results in some of your emphasized beats being played with an upstroke, and some with a downstroke.

Have fun with this!
