The verse section features some straightforward strumming of power chords. Start with a low E power chord, up to a G on the 3rd fret, D on the 5th fret with the root on A string, then a C on the 3rd fret.

Note the push on the last chord of the progression (the C), meaning that you strum the chord on the "and" of 4, instead of right on the beat like the others.

The vibe of the tune is mellow, so you don't have to be aggressive with your strums. Relaxed is a better approach here.

Also note how the bass plays the root notes in unison with the guitar, creating a straightforward, simple sound.
