I'm using a Stratocaster guitar with single coil pickups for this one. The electric parts need some clarity and bite, while still retaining some warmth. For the rhythm part, use the neck pickup for a fuller, warmer sound. Switch to the bridge pickup to get more bite for the solo and ending arpeggios.

A clean Fender-type amp here is the right choice. Crank up the gain to get some good sustain without it becoming dirty or fuzzy. Dial in a touch of reverb to give some space. I used a Fender Deluxe model with the following settings:

DRIVE:65%, BASS:100%, MID:55%, TREB:60%, PRES:55%

Spring Reverb: 30%

Slapback Echo: Time 121ms, FDBK 45%, MIX 25%

Chorus: Speed: 0.5Hz, Depth 70%, MIX 35%

For the guitar solo, crank the drive up to 100%, and click on the echo and chorus. Use these effects for the single note A minor arpeggios at the end of the tune as well.
