The next section features a single note motif played with aggressive 8th notes and palm muting, building towards a climax of power chording.

The first 6 bars feature a 2 bar motif repeated 3 times. Note the modulation to D minor (the minor 4) and dig into these notes with some aggressive picking and partial palm muting.

The notes outline a Dm7 chord, but notice the chromatic move from the flat 7 to the 6 that creates the uneasy tension of the section.

The climax of the section moves to the E chord with some wide open strumming. This actually provides some momentary release from the tension.
