Our guitar part plays very similarly during the choruses of "I Ran", this time playing almost the same melody as the vocals. We are playing a little more open than our verses, and you really want to focus on the rhythm and phrasing of this section.

Again, we're in a pentatonic type of box shape with this simple lick, with interval movements of whole steps and minor thirds. The last time through the phrase, make sure to stop and cut off the note, to leave room for the vocal hook "couldn't get away".
