You can alter the dynamics between soft & loud; as well as the continuum of volumes in between those extremes. You can play through the piece using the full arrangement, then play the pizzicato version, then back to the full version.
Remember to always keep the important components in place: the melodic & rhythmic phrasing and pulse of the waltz!
Also, remember it can be acceptable to use any finger necessary to accomplish any given notes. But, ultimately it is best to work toward the most efficient, smoothest way of getting around any piece your playing. Sometimes this requires a bit more work when you are just starting out. But it will be worth it in the long run! It is also acceptable to remove fingers from notes as soon as they have passed but keep in mind this might not be the most efficient way (or musical way!) of accomplishing playing the piece in the end.
I find it quite easy (so far!) to navigate, and found the "where do I start" to be very helpful! I'm getting there!!
I LOVE the forum, too. I've never been one to use forums, but the GT forum is full of great people and helpful information at ALL levels! Congrats on a WONDERFUL site!!Good job!
