We'll use Exercise 2 from the previous lesson to learn how to incorporate the two basic fretboard motions into your practice routine. The two motions are: 1. Across the neck; 2. Up and Down the Neck. Learning this motions with a simple technique exercise will make using the motions in songs and solos much easier.
Notice also that we put a twist on the exercise when we move it across the neck. Here we descend the pattern when returning back across the neck. Start slowly, use a metronome, and build those chops!
