These are just a few of the many chord alternatives available to your rock guitar rhythm playing. Now that we have some of these new chord ideas in our arsenal, let's put it all together by testing to see how well we can develop some of these concepts on our own.

1. Referencing Lesson 6, demonstrate 3 power chords moving up the A and D strings with the addition of our new note on the low E string.
2. Using octaves from Lesson 5, substitute each of these power chords on the A and D strings with moving octaves instead.
3. Try adding seconds from Lesson 3 to each of the power chords demonstrated.
