Definition for: Double-time

A rhythmic feel which makes songs sound twice as fast. Double time basically doubles the amount of beats, so if the bar originally goes 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 with accents on the 2 and 4 beats, the double time version goes 1 - & - 2 - & - 3 - & - 4 - & with accents on the '&' symbols. This increases the pace of the song without messing with the time signature.
