Definition for: Chord chart

A visual representation of the guitar neck used to show how chords should be played and fingered. They number the fingers from one to four (index to pinky) and usually use 'o' symbols for strings played and 'X' symbols for strings not played. This gives guitarist a complete and visually self-explanatory overview of how a chord is played.
