Any differences between the Martin LX1RE and the D-42 besides the price?

I'm not familiar with those guitars but in general, when shopping for a new guitar I suggest knowing what style of music you want to play, is it for personal use or are you in a band, what's your budget, and most of all go try both of them out at a store a few times to see if one suits you better than the other. Although quality varies, at the end of the day the feel and sound of musical instruments are very subjective. Enjoy shopping.

I don't know the differences between these two but for me, I will choose Martin D-42 because it has good reviews

Martin LXRE is also known as a "little Martin." Because of its size, it is a great couch playing, travel, beach playing guitar.

The D-42 is a full-sized guitar. Different beast entirely.

both are great guitars, it depends on what you need.

Martin makes an excellent product.

I'd also suggest watching YouTube videos that highlight each of these guitars.

Don't understand the question really, are you trying to compare a 500 $ guitar with one from 7500$? it's like asking if there is a difference between a Kia car and a Rolls Royce.

Usually the more expensive a guitar is, the better the wood class they use to build it is and more likely it will be hand build and therefore already way better playable and it will keep it's value over the years making it a more collectible guitar to so impossible to compare those two.
