I have the FS800 and it is a great guitar. It's got me through GF 1&2, Anders Acoustic guitar course, alot of the acoustic material under the Styles section, plus learning alot of the songs here. I have played the FG800 at Guitar Center and it was fine too.

Go to a guitar store where they have both and try them out. You will prefer one over the other. Either one should meet your needs.

I had a Yamaha FG700 and I liked it. I did put a bone saddle and bridge pins in it.
