hey all, I had my brain surgery 2 years ago, had to relearn lifes basics and although i was itermediate at best before surgery, im back at a beginer level now although its coming back quicker than expected.

im ejoying the lessons here but im going from lesson to lesson(some taking a day or more) and feel like i should probably add some more to my daily shedule(averaging over an hour a day and more on my weekends) does any one have suggestions for a daily schedule or some other things to add? right ow i warm up with a scale or two and then just focus on the lessons.

thanks for any thoughts

Well best of luck to you with your studies. You mentioned "lessons". Are you referring to Lisa's Fundamentals?

This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!

Benefit of hindsight here but if I was starting over again it might look like this. I may not practice everything everyday - but I would at least touch on them weekly. These would be in no particular order:

*) Notes and fretboard knowledge - learn where the notes are on the fretboard[br]*) Chords and chord transition - you pick the chords but more or less what Lisa covers. I started learning chords before joining GT and I started with my favorite songs.[br]*) Songs[br]*) Pentatonic scales in Major and Minor keys[br]*) Genres - I have somehow ended up on Blues and this is currently a study in itself[br]*) Licks - I have a growing catalogue of standbys [br]*) Theory and song writing - for me this takes up a solid session by itself

Just an outline, important thing to me is that I continue to practice and let the guitar take me along for the ride.
