Are the next recommended steps to go through Blues 1&2, Country 1&2, and Rock 1&2 before tackling the rest of the styles? Or do most people just hit one of the three styles above?

I went through blues 1+2 then rock 1+2. After that i started doing more lessons on blues from Anders and Christopher by looking through their individual lessons page and picking out lessons focussing on subjects I wanted to learn more in depth.

After Guitar Fundamentals 1 and 2, I recommend browsing the site for songs to learn or jumping into either Blues, Country or Rock Level 1 courses.
I guess the important thing to remember is to recognize when you're still learning and having fun. As long as your interest is still peaked, you can jump into anything on the site!
But like fuzzb0x said, if you want a structured, in-depth course, jump into one of the more experienced courses with Anders.
