I have Reinventing the Steel and it is a great album. I am going to get another and I want to know your guys opinion on their CDs. I was thinking Vulgar Display of Power, I heard it was great.

Hm, you just buy any Pantera record there is, you wont be disappointed.(accept maybe for their 4 glam-metal records)
If you want heavy metal, with alot of soloing, then go with Cowboys From Hell or Vulgar Display Of Power.
Far Beyond Driven doesnt have much soloing on it, but it rulez just as much.
If you like extreme music, The Great Southern TRENDKILL is the way to go.

Damn, i love Pantera!! hehe

Looks like you guys hit the nail right on the head! I don't think there is such a thing as a bad Pantera song. If you like metal, that is. Every album rocks, but if you wanna hear Phil's actual singing talent then you'd have to go with "Cowboy's From Hell". True Story: A friend of mine, Todd, went to a Pantera concert and said that Phil sang so loud, he busted the mic 5 times! I don't know about you guys but I've never seen that done before.

I'd have to say that Vulgar or Cowboys are the better of the albums. Dimebag is a great guitarist. When I first started playing, I picked up a Pantera tab book and lived off that thang for a long while. The new album is awsome, but I haven't bought it yet... What was that about their glam-metal albums? I never heard of that before... I've heard of one older album called Power Metal, but I figured it'd be like Cowboys. I almost bought it once, but never did...

Pantera released four albums before they released Cowboys From Hell.
-Metal Magic
-Projects In The Jungle
-I Am The Night
-Power Metal

These albums are very hard to find, since they were never released on cd, and they are not going to re-release em.

Pantera doesnt talk about these records too much, hehe, the guy from www.pantera.com isnt even allowed to mention them on the official site.
