Thirty years ago, in high school, I had a Strat clone and played ( made noise ) with a couple of friends. We went our ways, didn’t have anyone to impose my overdriven power chords to, and sold my guitar.

Now getting older, and have a bit more leisure time, I decided to pick up a new guitar. It's been a few months, and I totally fell for it. It puts a smile on my face, and all my troubles fade away when I plug it in my amp.

I know that I'll never be the rockstar that I was dreaming at 18, but I'm sure that the joy of picking up my guitar will follow me for a long time. The "noise" I was making is now more refined and controlled, but I still love kicking the overdrive and heat up the amp!

Really happy to restart my journey here!

No, I tried an Epiphone Les Paul for a few months... really liked the feeling, and the single cut. I went to the guitar shop and fell in love with a Godin Summit Classic HT. I also really liked that the wood was sourced around where I live, and crafted locally.

Paired it with a Orange Crush 20 Amp and a Boss Blues Driver BD-2.

Very nice. Love the fact that it's body is chambered Basswood making it so much lighter than a Mahogany Les Paul of any persuasion, and undoubtedly better balanced.

Godin Summit Classic HT.

Currently retailing at £989.00 here in the UK ($1,171.00). There's also an SG model, although the Summit is by far the nicest.

SO glad you have gotten back to the guitar!

I love this:

"It puts a smile on my face, and all my troubles fade away"

That is the power of music!

Play! Play!

And have lots of fun - Lisa
